Globalization. A good or bad thing?

I have a friend who came over as a nanny from Phillipines. She told us that in Britain, Filipino means domestic worker. This is actually in their dictionary she said. This is like exactly what happened with the black people being slaves and people believing that is all they were made for. Pretty bad eh?
